Many people learn and develop in different ways such as reading material to understand it or visually seeing it. Birth to five years of life is the most crucial period of a childÅ› life. Children learn the most between these ages because their brain is developing. Heredity and the childÅ› environment affect they way the child learns. Reading to your children will improve their speech and language in the future. Also counting on a everyday basis with your child will help them with their cognitive thinking. Jean PiagetÅ› developmental theory is children develop in 4 different stages from the ages birth to adulthood. Jean Piaget was born in Switzerland and was the oldest child. He was born on August 9th, 1896 and died on September 16th, 1980. Jean Piaget was a swiss psychologist who started off by becoming a well known malacologist after he finished high school. Piaget left Switzerland and moved to France because he had an interest in psychoanalysis. After moving to France he worked at an boyÅ› institution for one year. As he worked here he had done his first experimental studies on how the brain was growing. In 1921 Piaget became a director of studies at the Rousseau Institute. In 1923, Valentine Chà ¢tenay and Piaget were married. They had three children together Jacqueline, Lucienne and Laurent. As the children were developing Piaget studied the way their intellectual language was growing. In the 1920’s he began to develop as a physiologist.
